Stephen Widnall, Development Director

 

Stephen joined the team in September 2014.  His role is to ensure that projects are viable and to secure finance and/or funding for schemes, as well as securing tenants and occupiers for speculative elements of projects.  He works closely with the project delivery team, coordinating the input from lawyers, agents and funders.  He has over 25 years’ experience in the commercial property sector, most recently as a Partner with Knight Frank LLP and previously with DTZ in Cardiff, having started his career in the City of London.  He has particular experience in advising corporate occupiers in large scale office consolidation and relocation strategies.

 

Gavin Williams, Project Director

 

Gavin joined Rightacres in June 2005 to head up the project delivery team, following 11 years of client side development support roles. He has extensive experience in all technical aspects of construction and project management having spent 10 years in mainline contracting prior to moving client side.

 

 

 

 

 

Michael D McCarthy, Chairman

 

Michael is a well-known figure in the UK property industry, and has been Chairman since 1970 when he established the company. Michael has an extensive knowledge of the UK property markets and in particular the office sector.

 

Paul McCarthy, Chief Executive

 

Paul has overall responsibility for Rightacres and its development strategy. His role includes the management of the project teams and contractors, building close working relationships with occupiers, funders, and key stakeholders. He has considerable experience in a diverse range of complex development projects across a number of sectors.

 

Jason Hyett, Project Director

 

Jason joined the Rightacres team in September 2014. He will focus on the delivery of our development projects. He has over 20 years of experience within the construction industry having spent many years working as a Director with an International Consultant in the UK and the Middle East. Jason’s cross sector experience and skill set compliments those of the existing Rightacres team.

 

 

Clare Williams, Sustainability

Co-ordinator

 

Clare has been with Rightacres since 2003 and is primarily responsible for ensuring that each Rightacres project adheres to our Sustainablity Policies and that our developments maximise the procurement, employment and training benefits to local communities. Clare is also Company Secretary to each of the Rightacres Group Companies.

 

Peter May, Financial Consultant

 

Peter is responsible for monitoring the financial strategy, project and management accounting for each of the Rightacres Group of companies.

 

Meg Geen, Business Management Consultant

 

Meg has a track record in managing developments across a range of sectors including office, industrial and residential for Rightacres. Meg’s management and development experience underpins Rightacres thorough approach to each transaction and its delivery.
